Finding Free PSP Software
You could spend all day filtering through the free PSP software available online. Most of it seems to be conversion software in order to get video and audio files downloaded to the PSP. There is shareware software called PSP video 9 that will “rip” your DVDs to your PC and then convert those files to the proper format and download them onto your PSP. It will do the same thing for CDs and video and audio files already on your computer.

Avoid The Hacks
You do have to use good judgment when considering free PSP software. There are sites that blatantly advertise hacking the PSP to make it do something it wasn’t designed to do. Other sites warn about these so-called hackers and warn PSP buffs not to turn theirs into a brick. Some shareware could be infected with adware and spyware so that’s something else to consider.
MioMediaBox is a free software utility that downloads your favorite RSS feeds from the internet. You can find this little gem at mioplanet.com. The website has an extensive list of RSS feeds from which to choose.
You can find free PSP software for editing and managing your photos, music and movies. You can get trial versions of games and software of all kinds. There are many, many video and audio converters offered online for free or free to try. There is jigsaw puzzle making software that you can experiment with on the PSP.
It’s a lot of fun surfing the internet for new and free PSP software. As frustrating as it can be initially figuring out all the confusing conversion mumbo jumbo, once you get past that hurdle, you’ve really got it made. The PSP is an amazing gadget just waiting to be fine-tuned by each individual owner. Then it will be truly yours and yours alone.
